i'm happy with the weekend. it's such a welcome break. a breather.
saturday evening was cool and breezy. spent it at bishan park, watching yp and joseph play soccer with some other ppl. sat on a mat with a little boy who was admiring his pokemon cards and we talked some crap together. retarded things kids say. this one looks cute but is abit irritating. wanted to whack the ball at my face..but he doesnt have enough leg power. haha. so we played some barefooted passing and laughed alot. after dusk fell, the match ended in a big whooping loss to yp's side. poor thing. we all went to his house and had dinner with his parents. yp thinks joseph's one funny guy..he is! cos he's scared of everything..haha. i told yp's mum abt putting a cockroack into joseph's plastic bag once when we were studying. it's a classic story. she's impressed that i'm not scared of cockroaches but yp being an ass told her i'm afraid of lizards.
speaking of which..there's one in jo's room now! EEKS.
on sunday, had cell group with a twist--short devotion and sharing and lots of praying. i like this style; it gives so much warmth to our growing cg. i've to say that i do feel belonged to this cg. i guess it's not surprising since we all knew each other and worked with each other prior to the start of cg. but it's different now that we have a personal stake in this group that we are working to unify and strengthen in God's name. i've also gotten to know leroy and jerald better. it means so much to be able to have Christian friends out of school, really. i mean our entire lives cant just be revolving ard sch right?
and so aft cg, we trooped down to amk central for a round of karoke at kbox. i wish ng went but she said it was too expensive. ALRIGHT YOU PRAGMATIC PERSON. paul and leroy are seasoned mandopop belters;all the unknown singers they also know. yaupng is an oldies person(abit embarrassing really) and gets gay with the poor guys when he serenades them. josh only knows FIR and choruses to some of the pop songs;gets high on english songs and jumps on sofas. jerald and nat are the most retarded! they only know how to sing the huohuohuo part and emphasise on words in jian dan ai. emily's the most moderate; knows a range of songs but not to the scary extent of paul.
but everybody went high on YMCA! that was great. i hope leroy uploads the videos and recordings because they are so funny. i'll go youtube and comment and rate all of them if he posts.

yay! it's friday :) going out with biggie aka yimei later aft tutorial. and friday also means...term break!!one whole week of living at home..alright.so yes, this week has been a rush of tutorials, readings, interviews, tests (yepp already)and late nights. not as relaxed as the previous week and to make it worse, tueday was block initiation night. wont say more here..cos it was terrible and just totally s load of crap.but i also learnt smt new this week--our next door neighbours are real pranksters man! they punk'd char and i so much. it's very funny. especially coco(real name yiqi but coco is just too funny a name to pass up).she duct-taped our door, put broom and mop to block our exit, hid my slippers when i went to bathe, took ALL our slippers and laid them on the staircase, pelt us with her darts through her kiddy gun when we walk past her room, teach char how to power nudge me on msn...i think we need to put our heads together to get back at her. HAHA.

another week passes by so quickly (but not fast enough).somehow i'm so so tired this week..yeah i know i keep pretty late nights now (but i dont even come online everynight). i dont know how i lose time honestly.it's not like i go suppers everynight. not like i join many comms(i didnt even join the sai kang interim comms last month). not like i'm some social butterfly flitting ard.and i think i'm beginning to sound a bit defensive...so tell me how do i lose time like that?

i'm listening to eyes open by snow patrol as i type this. The lyrics are so poetic and i like the lead's vocals.but most of all, i'm just happy that i've this time to myself and this moment of having everything blend perfectly into place. my life's definitely more than okay. i think abt the crappiness of jc(and i rmb josh & em shared the same sentiments too during cg!) and i'm so glad that God allowed for all that to happened so that i'm here,right now.The time will comewhen, with elation,you will greet yourself arrivingat your own door, in your own mirror,and each will smile at the other's welcome,and say, sit here. i think i had a good week.because of all the sports i played..never felt so energized :)sunday evening:returned to hall to run cross campus for block. crappy timing. but well..one thing leads to another...tuesday morning:paul leong called me up at 745 to run to ghim moh for breakfast. so off we went tgt with amos. a 3 k run. scenic route by the canal and i was quite shagged by the end of it. i only went for a short jog during my entire hall stay and then the cross campus thing kinda jolted me to exercise more. esp when i think abt how i was running way more than just 2 k before i entered uni. anyway tau huay zui never tasted as good as this very morning. i drank 2 huge mugs. so going again next week!but before that on monday evening:had a short training with the c-block girls for soccer. played a game then monkey to improve ball control. i do hope we win! i do hope weide stops training the e-block girls! yp's going to train me in street soccer on sunday and then i'll try to play again next week before the tournament on fri.wed evening:went to play ibg netball. we are overall champs!! i think cos the senior girls have this invincible aura. huilin,national netballer. ashley,liling,liyana and yiqi...wow! godlike attacking abilities.(used in a looser sense of the word) i played gk in 2 matches. char played a match as goaldefence.ethel played very very well and xinhui contributed and together c-block owned. it's quite a pick-up-able game. alot of concentration cos it's fast but it's not that intimidating.thurs evening(tonight!):had varsity soccer training. field! my favourite way to play. i esp liked last wk's training as the pitch was muddy--just the way i like it. but my thighs were quite lactic acid-y alr so i kept having to massage and stretch them. tried striker and left mid today. i think i'm better at left mid because shooting spontaneously isnt easy.and what does fri's timetable read?REST. haha. and cellgrp.but before that philosophy lect,sg studies tutorial,tuition for my o level girl. i shld turn in soon except for the fact that philo starts at 12. :Pplease dont read this if ure anti-girloh and last night, char,shiying and i did the most bimbotic stuff. online shopping! i've curbed it well..havent even gone to sgselltrade since 2 months ago. and then dear shiying burst into my room,declared that she saw a chio dress on f21 and wants to see if it's available in USA. so at like 1 plus am, the 3 of us huddled ard the comp and took in greedily pretty things on f21,sgselltrade,asos,tsarist. then went to sgspree to tag on the request for a f21 spree. free shipping if it's above 75 usd! we all died of happiness at that moment. will some rich philanthrophist spare me some pocket change for some new pretty things?

i think i like what i'm learning in uni..political science,sociology and philosophy..they all are inter-linked. and tutorials are so much more interesting and people actually participate.well more soon when i finally finish my readings and inter-blockgames.
